Yes, you can take one of our cars abroad — but only if you tell us first. Travel abroad has to be agreed in advance, we record the permission in the rental contract, and a border-crossing fee applies depending on the country: €30, €70 or €250. Crossing without consent is a breach of contract, and the penalty is set out in our fee schedule. The rest is logistics to sort out before you leave: mileage allowance, road charges and the documents that travel with the car.
Permission and the border-crossing fee
You ask for permission when you book: the booking form has a Special requests section where you tick the border-crossing fee. We confirm and price it before payment and write the permission into the contract. If you decide to travel after the rental has started, contact us and we will add it as a contract amendment — it cannot be retroactive, the consent has to exist before the car reaches the border.
The fee is charged once per rental, not per day, and depends on the country:
If your route passes through several countries, list all of them, including ones you only drive through; the amount appears in your booking before you pay. Countries not on the list are arranged individually, and before you book rather than on the day of departure. The rates are in our fee schedule, part of the terms and conditions.
Insurance and the documents that travel with the car
The rental price includes compulsory third-party liability insurance, collision insurance, the Slovak motorway vignette and 24/7 roadside assistance. Collision insurance is not cover in every circumstance: its scope and the excess are in the rental contract and the terms and conditions — read them before you set off. Save the assistance number in your phone, not only in an email you may not open abroad.
The vehicle documents and mandatory equipment travel with the car; we go through them item by item at handover:
Go through the list at handover and photograph the protocol. Do not leave the vehicle documents in a parked car, and ask us if you are unsure what your route needs.
Vignettes and tolls in the surrounding countries
The Slovak motorway vignette is included in the rental price. Charges in the countries you drive through are yours to arrange, and systems differ:
An electronic vignette is tied to the licence plate, so buy it for the plate of the car you collect from us; you will find it in the rental contract. Buy from the official seller for that country: resellers add a mark-up, and in some countries validity starts only some time after purchase. Keep the confirmation until the end of the rental.
Mileage: 150 km a day, counted across the whole rental
The rental price includes 150 km a day, on all five cars in the fleet. The allowance is not checked day by day: it is multiplied by the number of days and applies to the rental as a whole. A week is 7 × 150, that is 1,050 km — enough for Vienna, Budapest or Kraków and back — but not for the Adriatic, where it is cheaper to buy extra kilometres in advance than to settle them afterwards, not enough for a loop around Spain.
If that does not cover your route, buy kilometres in advance: prepaid kilometres above the allowance cost 0.58 to €0.94 per kilometre by vehicle class, while excess kilometres charged after you return the car cost 0.75 to €1.10. The rate for a specific car is in the fee schedule. Work it out before you book.
Who is allowed to drive
Drivers take turns on a long trip, so settle this when you book. The licence must have been held for at least two years and the minimum age is 21, or 25 for premium and sports vehicles; we also need a valid identity card or passport. Name any additional driver in the booking and submit their licence — €10 per day. Driving by someone not named in the contract is a breach of contract and carries a €1,000 fee. Identity is verified online through an external provider and the contract is signed electronically.
We do not block the deposit on a payment card. It is paid by bank transfer against a request with its own payment reference and a QR code; the amount is shown with each car and is higher for clients resident outside Slovakia. It is returned once the car is back and the rental is settled; if damage is not yet quantified, it is held until a garage or the insurer puts a figure on it.

You collect the car at one of our two branches — Horné Mýto near Dunajská Streda, or Košice — or we deliver it: free to Dunajská Streda and Košice, €50 to Bratislava, elsewhere calculated from the driving distance and shown in your booking.
